SEKATAN bermotifkan politik LIHAT pergeseran
dari Dolar - PUTIN . . .
Russian President Vladimir Putin (RIA Novosti/Vitaly Belousov)
Politically-Motivated SANCTIONS See Shift
from Dollar - PUTIN . . .
The sanctions imposed on Russia by the US and the West, among other financial blunders, are mistakes that have triggered the world to de-dollarize. Russian President Putin describes this as like “cutting down the branches, upon which they are sitting.”
Putin said that sanctions have an overall negative effect on the entire global community, and actually motivate countries to seek financial sovereignty from the status quo.
President Putin was speaking at 11th annual meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club in Sochi, Russia. The panel was fittingly called, "The World Order: New Rules or a Game without Rules."
“Politically-motivated sanctions have intensified the trend of economic and financial sovereignty, the desire of countries and regions would like to secure themselves against outside pressure,” he said.

"Saya rasa rakan-rakan kami Amerika duduk sedang menggergaji cawangan mereka," kata Putin,
Dependence on a single global power will decrease, and new reserve currencies, such as the yuan and ruble, are already starting to emerge.
“Now, an increasing number of countries are attempting to move away from dollar dependence and to establish alternative reserve currencies and settlement systems,” the President said.
Maintaining global equilibrium becomes difficult when everyone stops playing by the rules, the President said, citing the precedent of the Cyprus bailout and the “politically-motivated” sanctions against Russia over its action in Ukraine.
“Now they risk losing confidence as the leaders of globalization. My question is- why would they do it? The prosperity of the US depends on its investors, those that own dollar debt,” he said.
“I think our American counterparts are sawing the branch they are sitting on,” Putin said,

Putin warned of the danger of mixing politics and economics, especially when nations are so deeply financially intertwined.
The West and Russia have increasingly become divided over the crisis in Ukraine, in which Russia accuses foreign powers of stirring up sentiment, and the West seeks to punish Russia for reclaiming Crimea.
US and EU sanctions against Russia include bans on long-term loans from Western capital markets, and bars the import of high tech oil equipment and technology, as well as weaponry to Russia.
Despite the cold diplomatic exchanges in the past year, Russia is ready for dialogue to normalize relations, the President said.
The annual panel includes the President and Prime Minister of Russia, who meet with the club members, both Russian and foreign experts in international affairs.
The club was created in September 2004 to promote dialogue between the Russian and international intellectual elite, and meets each year in a different Russian region. The name ‘Valdai’ comes from the lake where the first conference was held in Veliky Novgorod.
In the last decade, over 600 experts from 47 countries have participated in the talks.

RUSIA di pintu GERBANG ? Jabatan Negara Amerika
Syarikat, jurucakap Pentagon DIPANGGANG di atas perluasan NATO . . .
Still from youtube channel (U.S. Department of State)

RUSSIAN at the gates? US State Dept, Pentagon Spokespersons GRILLED Over NATO EXPANSION . . .
US State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki and Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby have been challenged over the Department of Defense's claims that the US must “deal” with “modern and capable” Russian armed forces on NATO's doorstep.
Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu expressed “grave concern” and “surprise” at a Wednesday speech made by US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel during the Association of the United States Army’s annual conference. Hagel declared that US armed forces "must deal with a revisionist Russia - with its modern and capable army - on NATO's doorstep.”
During a State Department briefing on Friday, however, an AP journalist suggested that it would be more logical to say that “NATO has moved closer to Russia’s borders.”
“Is it not logical to look at this and say – the reason why Russia’s army is on NATO’s doorstep, is because NATO expands,” journalist Matt Lee said.
“That’s the way [Russian] President Putin probably looks at it, it’s certainly not the way that we look at it,” Kirby said in response to the journalist’s reasoning.
Though he eventually admitted that NATO has expanded, Kirby added that “NATO is not an anti-Russia alliance, it is a security alliance.”
“It wasn’t NATO that was ordering tons of tactical battalions and army to [the] Ukraine border,” Kirby added, before being reminded that Ukraine is not part of NATO.
Kirby then refused to agree with the point that the Russians could understandably perceive NATO’s expansion as a “threat,” especially given that the alliance existed as “anti-Soviet” for half a century.
“I’m not going to pretend to know what goes in President Putin’s mind or Russian military commanders . . . I mean, I barely got a history degree at the University of South Florida,” Kirby joked, dodging the question.
Kirby assured that NATO's moves were not “hostile and threatening,” but rather a matter of security. He added that he was “worried about their [Russia’s] moves around Ukraine.” Psaki then cut in, saying that “other countries feel threatened,” and urged the conversation to move on.
In terms of new threats at NATO’s borders, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Friday that it is the US which has been “stubbornly approaching . . . closer to our doors.”
Relations between Russia and NATO have been tense since the alliance accused Russia of becoming involved in the Ukrainian conflict – a claim Russia has conti-nuously denied.
Following Crimea's accession to Russia in March, the US and Europe bombarded Moscow with sanctions. NATO also significantly increased its military presence near Russia's borders, especially in Poland and the former Soviet Baltic states of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, which have expressed concern at the potential for Russian incursions into their territories.

Mata Renzi mengubah aturan perlindungan pekerja.
Renzi eyes changing employee protection rules. In September the plan won backing from his party. Critics say the amendments would result in companies not hiring enough staff and creating the risks of chronic economic weakness.
"We want work for everyone, and work with rights. This is a demonstration for those without work, without rights, those who suffer, who have no certainties for the future," Susanna Camusso, head of the CGIL, addressed the protesters.
"If Renzi and his government have their antennas up, as they usually do, they will receive a very strong signal today which is that the majority of the people who work and who want to work in this country do not agree with their politics," Fiom union Secretary-General Maurizio Landini told Reuters TV.
"If he really wants to change this country he needs to do it with these people, not against us," he added.

Also fueling the public’s outrage is the austerity policies: increasing public spending cuts to cope with the EU budget restrictions.
Italy’s current employment rate is one of the lowest in the EU, standing at 55.7 percent in August, with joblessness among the youth at 44.2 percent.
The current demonstration follows a 24-hour air and ground transport strike. More disruptions are set to happen on November 14, when Alitalia and Easyjet staff will stage a walk-out, according to a statement published on the Italian Transport Ministry’s website.
The unions plan to hold another demonstration on November 8.
