niZAh- Militan Negara Islam di Iraq utara mempunyai sistem
pertahanan udara moden mudah alih yang mampu menembak jatuh sebuah pesawat
penumpang, akhbar Bild am Sonntag Jerman melaporkan memetik agensi perisikan
sesi tertutup minggu lepas.
Agensi perisikan Jerman mengatakan bahawa Negara
pertahanan udara manusia mudah alih moden (MANPADS). Sistem peluru berpandu
Pihak berkuasa Jerman masih blm mengesahkan
laporan tersebut. Beberapa sya-rikat penerbangan termasuk Austrian Airlines dan
Qatar Airways, masih terbang di ruang udara di Irak utara mengawal pelampau.
GERMAN Intel WARNS ISIS
Can Shoot down PASSENGER planes - report
Islamic State militants in northern Iraq have modern
portable air defense systems that are capable of shooting down a passenger
plane, Germany’s Bild am Sonntag newspaper reported citing the country’s
foreign intelligence agency.
According to the media report published on Sunday,
the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND) informed the German Bundestag of the threat
at a closed session last week.
The German intelligence agency said that the Islamic
State(IS, formerly ISIS) militants located in northern Iraq have obtained
air-defense systems from the captured military arsenal of the Syrian Army,
according to the report.
The IS militants have obtained the 1970s models as
well as modern man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS). These light-weight
surface-to-air missile systems can be fired from the shoulder and operated by
one person.
“Unlike other air defense weapons, MANPADS are easy
to use, barely-trained militiamen can fire the weapon accurately,” the report
said, adding that the weapons are especially dangerous for landing or taking
off aircrafts.
German authorities have not yet confirmed the
report. Several airlines, including Austrian Airlines and Qatar Airways, still
fly in the airspace over northern Iraq in control of the extremists.

Terdahulu beberapa laporan muncul mengatakan bahawa
militan di wilayah itu memiliki MANPADS. Khususnya, militan anti kerajaan
gudang mereka.
Sebuah koalisi pimpinan Amerika Syarikat melancarkan
Komando Pusat Amerika Syarikat. 5 serangan udara berasingan tlh dilakukan
kata pegawai Amerika Syarikat.
Earlier several reports emerged saying that the
militants in the region were in possession of MANPADs. In particular, the
anti-government militants stormed the Tabqa air base in north-central Syria,
which enabled them to take control of the whole Raqqa province– currently an IS
stronghold - in August. The militants reportedly seized a cache of the portable
surface-to-air missiles stored there. In October, there were reports by the
Iraqi military that IS extremists had MANPADs in their arsenal.
The IS militants - assessed by the US as the
best-funded terrorists in the world - have seized large swaths of Syria and
northern Iraq and established a self-proclaimed caliphate in the Middle East.
A US-led coalition launched airstrikes targeting the
militants’ positions in Syria in September. These strikes joined US air
operations against the IS in Iraq which began a month earlier.
On Sunday, the US military and partner states
conducted 12 airstrikes on the IS positions in Iraq, the US Central Command
said. Five separate airstrikes were conducted by the US military against IS
targets in Syria in the city of Kobani, US officials added.
sains Eropah berkata.
Komet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko - atau Dhananjay
singkatnya - perjalanan melalui ruang kira-kira 400 juta km (kira-kira 250 juta
'ROTTEN Eggs & Horse
PEE': Rosetta PROBE
Sniffs COMET 67P . .
. And it STINKS! . . .
A mix of rotten eggs, alcohol and a horse stable, with a note of bitter
almonds – that’s the smell of comet 67P, caught by sensor devices of the
Rosetta spacecraft, which is orbiting it, European scientists say.
The comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko – or Chury for short – is traveling
through space some 400 million km (about 250 million miles) from the sun, but
this chunk of ice has already started releasing gas molecules. They were
detected by the Rosetta orbiter sensor for ion and neutral analysis (ROSINA) –
first in August - but this time an unexpectedly much richer picture was
revealed.
Rosetta unmanned spacecraft (Reuters/NASA)
busuk (hidrogen sulfida), kuda stabil (ammonia), & tajam, bau yg
menyesakkan formaldehid.
“The perfume of 67P/C-G is quite strong, with the
odor of rotten eggs (hydrogen sulfide), horse stable (ammonia), and the
pungent, suffocating odor of formaldehyde. This is mixed with the faint,
bitter, almond-like aroma of hydrogen cyanide,” Kathrin Altwegg, head of the
ROSINA project at the Center for Space and Habitability (CSH) at theUniversity of Bern, described the smell. “Add some
whiff of alcohol (methanol) to this mixture, paired with the vinegar-like aroma
of sulfur dioxide and a hint of the sweet aromatic scent of carbon disulfide,
and you arrive at the ‘perfume’ of our comet“.
“What’s surprising is we already have extremely rich chemistry at this
distance from the sun,” she added.
To catch up with 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, Rosetta
has made a 10-year-long journey, which involved three flybys of Earth and one
of Mars. The Rosetta spacecraft has been orbiting the comet since September.
On November 12 at around 09:35 GMT, Rosetta
will release its landing probe, Philae – the first manmade object to land on a
comet. The historic touchdown is expected to happen seven hours later, and in
two hours’ time the first pictures from the surface will be received by
scientists at the European Space Agency ESA, as well as two lander control
centers in Germany and France.
Menurut ahli-ahli astronomi ESA, gas mengarang komet
According to ESA astronomers, the gases composing
the comet alongside with frozen water and carbon dioxide could open the door to
the exploration of the origins of comets, as well as of the solar system. It
could also provide with some insight into the differences between the comets
coming from the ‘Jupiter family’ and from the Oort cloud on the outskirts of
our solar system.
Belonging to the Jupiter family, 67P/C-G is a
periodic comet with a well-known and predictable orbit of 6.5 years. Discovered
in 1969 by Soviet scientists, it will approach the sun at its closest in August,
2015.
Comets are icy bodies that are regarded as fossils
from the times when the solar system was originating, and they could provide
scientists with some of the primordial material. That is why comets coming from
the distant Oort cloud, rare guests to the inner solar system and therefore
‘untouched’ by the sun, such as the comet
Siding Springare pristine presents for scientists eager to learn more
about the original materials that formed the solar system 4.6 billion years
ago.

niZAh- Cina & India yg menyokong 21 negara $100 billion Infrastruktur Asia Investment Bank (AIIB) yg utk mencabar kpd Bank DUNIA & Bank Pembangunan Asia.
CHINA launches New WORLD Bank RIVAL . . .
China and India are backing a 21 country $100 billion Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to challenge to the World Bank and Asian Development Bank.
Memorandum of understanding were signed with 21 Asian countries in Beijing Friday. Australia, Indonesia and South Korea were absent following hidden pressure from Washington.
The development bank was proposed a year ago by Chinese President Xi Jinping, and is to offer financing for infrastructure projects in underdeveloped Asian countries.
Headquartered in Beijing, former chairman of the China International Capital Corp investment bank Jim Liqun, is expected to take a leading role.
The bank will initially be capitalized with $50 billion, most of it contributed by China. The country is planning to increase authorized capital to $100 billion. With that amount the AIIB would be two-thirds the size of the $175 billion Asian Development Bank.
India will be the second largest bank shareholder though Kuwait, Qatar, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Nepal, Oman, and all the countries of the Association of Southeast Asia, except Indonesia are involved.
Australia, Indonesia and South Korea did not participate following US claims of ‘concerns’ about a rival to Western-dominated multilateral lenders.
Japan, China's main rival in Asia, which dominates the Asian Development Bank along with the United States, did not attend but had not been expected to do so.
Indonesia refused to participate claiming it needs time to discuss China’s proposal.
The Australian Financial Review said US Secretary of State John Kerry had personally asked Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott to “steer clear” from joining AIIB.
"Australia has been under pressure from the US for some time to not become a founding member of the bank and it is understood Mr. Kerry put the case directly to the prime minister when the pair met in Jakarta on Monday following the inauguration of Indonesian President Joko Widodo," the paper said.
South Korea, one of America’s closest allies in Asia, is alse prevaricating. Its finance ministry said it spoke with China to request more time to consider details such as the AIIB's governance and operational principles.
US officials have said they do not want to support an initiative Washington thinks is unlikely to promote good environmental, procurement and human rights standards in the way the World Bank and ADB are required to do.
But Chinese officials are convinced the American opposition is an attempt to contain the global rise of China and its ambition to remain the dominant power in Asia.
“You could think of this as a basketball game in which the US wants to set the duration of the game, the size of the court, the height of the basket and everything else to suit itself,” Wei Jianguo, a former Chinese commerce minister, told the Financial Times.
Matthew Goodman, scholar at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington DC believes the initiatives of a BRICS Bank and AIIB “represent the first serious institutional challenge to the global economic order.”
Chinese Finance Minister Lou Jiwei said the AIIB will set high standards, safeguard policies and improve on bureaucratic, unrealistic and irrelevant policies, according to the Xinhua news agency.

Russian President Vladimir Putin (RIA Novosti/Vitaly Belousov)
Politically-Motivated SANCTIONS See Shift
from Dollar - PUTIN . . .
The sanctions imposed on Russia by the US and the West, among other financial blunders, are mistakes that have triggered the world to de-dollarize. Russian President Putin describes this as like “cutting down the branches, upon which they are sitting.”
Putin said that sanctions have an overall negative effect on the entire global community, and actually motivate countries to seek financial sovereignty from the status quo.
President Putin was speaking at 11th annual meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club in Sochi, Russia. The panel was fittingly called, "The World Order: New Rules or a Game without Rules."
“Politically-motivated sanctions have intensified the trend of economic and financial sovereignty, the desire of countries and regions would like to secure themselves against outside pressure,” he said.
“Now, an increasing number of countries are attempting to move away from dollar dependence and to establish alternative reserve currencies and settlement systems,” the President said.
Maintaining global equilibrium becomes difficult when everyone stops playing by the rules, the President said, citing the precedent of the Cyprus bailout and the “politically-motivated” sanctions against Russia over its action in Ukraine.
“Now they risk losing confidence as the leaders of globalization. My question is- why would they do it? The prosperity of the US depends on its investors, those that own dollar debt,” he said.
“I think our American counterparts are sawing the branch they are sitting on,” Putin said,

Putin warned of the danger of mixing politics and economics, especially when nations are so deeply financially intertwined.
The West and Russia have increasingly become divided over the crisis in Ukraine, in which Russia accuses foreign powers of stirring up sentiment, and the West seeks to punish Russia for reclaiming Crimea.
USand EU sanctions against Russia include bans on long-term loans from Western capital markets, and bars the import of high tech oil equipment and technology, as well as weaponry to Russia.
Despite the cold diplomatic exchanges in the past year, Russia is ready for dialogue to normalize relations, the President said.
The annual panel includes the President and Prime Minister of Russia, who meet with the club members, both Russian and foreign experts in international affairs.
The club was created in September 2004 to promote dialogue between the Russian and international intellectual elite, and meets each year in a different Russian region. The name ‘Valdai’ comes from the lake where the first conference was held in Veliky Novgorod.
In the last decade, over 600 experts from 47 countries have participated in the talks.
RUSIA di pintu GERBANG ? Jabatan Negara Amerika
Syarikat, jurucakap Pentagon DIPANGGANG di atas perluasan NATO . . .
Still from youtube channel (U.S. Department of State)
RUSSIAN at the gates? US State Dept, Pentagon Spokespersons GRILLED Over NATO EXPANSION . . .
US State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki and Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby have been challenged over the Department of Defense's claims that the US must “deal” with “modern and capable” Russian armed forces on NATO's doorstep.
Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoiguexpressed“grave concern” and “surprise” at a Wednesday speech made by US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel during the Association of the United States Army’s annual conference. Hagel declared that US armed forces "must deal with a revisionist Russia - with its modern and capable army - on NATO's doorstep.”
During a State Department briefing on Friday, however, an AP journalist suggested that it would be more logical to say that “NATO has moved closer to Russia’s borders.”
“Is it not logical to look at this and say – the reason why Russia’s army is on NATO’s doorstep, is because NATO expands,” journalist Matt Lee said.
“That’s the way [Russian] President Putin probably looks at it, it’s certainly not the way that we look at it,” Kirby said in response to the journalist’s reasoning.
Though he eventually admitted that NATO has expanded, Kirby added that “NATO is not an anti-Russia alliance, it is a security alliance.”
“It wasn’t NATO that was ordering tons of tactical battalions and army to [the] Ukraine border,” Kirby added, before being reminded that Ukraine is not part of NATO.
Kirby then refused to agree with the point that the Russians could understandably perceive NATO’s expansion as a “threat,” especially given that the alliance existed as “anti-Soviet” for half a century.
“I’m not going to pretend to know what goes in President Putin’s mind or Russian military commanders . . . I mean, I barely got a history degree at the University of South Florida,” Kirby joked, dodging the question.
Kirby assured that NATO's moves were not “hostile and threatening,” but rather a matter of security. He added that he was “worried about their [Russia’s] moves around Ukraine.” Psaki then cut in, saying that “other countries feel threatened,” and urged the conversation to move on.
In terms of new threats at NATO’s borders, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Friday that it is the US which has been “stubbornly approaching . . . closer to our doors.”
Relations between Russia and NATO have been tense since the alliance accused Russia of becoming involved in the Ukrainian conflict – a claim Russia has conti-nuously denied.
Following Crimea's accession to Russia in March, the US and Europe bombarded Moscow with sanctions. NATO also significantly increased its military presence near Russia's borders, especially in Poland and the former Soviet Baltic states of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, which have expressed concern at the potential for Russian incursions into their territories.

"If Renzi and his government have their antennas up, as they usually do, they will receive a very strong signal today which is that the majority of the people who work and who want to work in this country do not agree with their politics," Fiom union Secretary-General Maurizio Landini told Reuters TV.
"If he really wants to change this country he needs to do it with these people, not against us," he added.
